Great service, great food, and great laid back environment!

My first time here was great! The manager Mike was super friendly and made sure our group was checked in on frequently. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive and answered all our questions. The food was delicious! Most items can be made gluten-free, which is great. I ordered the goat cheese burger, fried green beans, and carrots (unbreaded).

Also, local knows that the only thing the Deep Ellum restaurant take seriously is their food. Hence, there’s no other spot in town quite like it.

The restaurant operates several locations across Dallas. Each one is different, unique, and adaptive to its neighborhood. Its Deep Ellum location is the perfect place where you can hang out and spend time with your family or friends. They’re open Monday to Sunday from 11 am to 10 pm.

A Flip Flop And Baseball Cap Burger Joint

Twisted Root BurgerEven before gourmet burgers became a trend, Chefs Quincy Hart and Jason Boso already have a similar concept in mind. Their main idea is to put up a restaurant built around fresh, half-pound burgers. They also want a menu that allows customers to create their burgers from an array of inventive and one-of-a-kind toppings. Moreover, they want the restaurant to have a casual environment with a personality to match.

The Hart and Boso crossed paths in culinary school. After settling their dues working several jobs, they finally opened the doors of Twisted Root Burger Co. in Deep Ellum, Dallas, in 2006. The success of their flagship shop is a massive success with the chefs sticking to their roots and their sense of humor. Also, they make it a point to be hands-on to ensure that they only serve fresh, high-quality food every time.

The burgers at Twisted Root comes with 1/2 pound beef patties. All their toppings are fresh, prepared every morning, and not frozen. Also, they source their buns from local bakers. Even their special pickles and condiments are home-made. And aside from building your own burger, you can also get your hands on the chef’s favorite burger and save $2. Likewise, you’ll find one Deep Ellum’s ice cream milkshakes here.

What makes dining at Twisted Burger fun is that they don’t call out your orders by numbers like on other restaurants. Instead, they give it a catchy, clever, and cool nickname. The ambiance of Twisted Root Burger is also wonderful, especially the rooftop patio. You and your family or friends will not only feel full and satisfied, but you’ll leave the place with a smile on your face.
